Description

This VIEW-IT® Infrared Laser Detector Disc has a target diameter of 1.37 inches (35 mm) and is attached to a handheld wand.

The target converts invisible 800-1700 nm light to a visible green with a minimum sensitivity of 1 mJ/cm² and a maximum damage threshold of 30 W/cm² for average power.

The wand is 6 inches (152.4 mm) long x 0.25 inches (6.35 mm) diameter and attaches with an 8-32 thread.

Requires no batteries or charging.

Outside dimensions of the detector are 1.87 inches (47.75 mm) diameter x 0.25 inches (6.35 mm) width.

Includes an impact-resistant carry case.

TIP: If your power density exceeds the maximum laser damage threshhold, expand the beam with a negative lens or move the VIEW-IT farther away from the laser to avoid damaging the VIEW-IT.
Example: 20 W from a 1 mm diameter fiber optic cable has a power density of 2,547 W/cm². The maximum laser damage threshhold (power density threshhold) of the VIEW-IT is 30 W/cm². Expanding the beam to >10 mm brings the damage threshold into spec for the VIEW-IT.
