Choosing the LSO Course that's Right for You

We offer 3 levels of Laser Safety Officer (LSO) training in the classroom with continuing education credits.  This guide is helpful in selecting the Laser Safety Officer course that's right for you.

2.5 Day Industrial LSO	3.5 Day Administrative LSO	4.5 Day Comprehensive LSO
Job Shop	University or R&D environment
Operate multiple Class 1 lasers in a production environment	Operate multiple Class 3B/4 lasers in a production environment	Need to take certified Laser Safety Officer exam
Operate Class 1 systems but perform service or maintenance	No desire to perform hazard analysis calculations by hand	LSO is full-time job
Main responsibility is not LSO
	LSO responsibilities are mainly oversight with delegation to others to help with laser safety
Spend an average of less than 1 day a week on laser safety	Spend an average of at least 1 day a week on laser safety	Spend 1 day or more a week on laser safety
