Freestanding Laser Barriers

When you need maximum flexibility for enclosing a laser work area or a temporary Class 1 laser safe work zone, choose freestanding, movable laser barriers. Freestanding, movable barriers are a great alternative to laser curtain systems and are available in FLEX-GUARD^®, EVER-GUARD^® and laser safe acrylic per ANSI Z136.1.

Laser barriers are constructed of rigid welded steel frames with pivoting, yellow cross braces supporting hooded and locking swivel casters. These laser barriers can be used alone or as partition walls by joining several together in daisy-chain fashion with light-blocking hinges constructed of the same material as the laser barrier.

FLEX-GUARD^® Plus Power laser barriers are rated at 425W/cm² for 100 seconds, wavelength 1070nm, 1mm diameter spot (1/e) and are constructed from heavy-duty, single layer black FLEX-GUARD^® fabric with matte finish. FLEX-GUARD^® fabric features flame retardance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and non-fraying characteristics. Laser barrier panels are individually sewn with heavy gauge monofilament threads. All seams are double stitched with back-stitched ends to improve strength and durability. Hems and seams are folded flat and pressed before stitching to ensure a pucker-free appearance.

EVER-GUARD^® all-metal laser barriers and curtains are rated at 50kW/cm² for 100 seconds, wavelength 1070nm, 1mm diameter spot (1/e) and 6kW/cm² for 100 seconds, wavelength 1070nm, 3mm diameter spot (1/e) and are constructed from uniquely patterned aluminum panels with a special coating that helps block, absorb, and diffuse scattered and direct laser radiation. Designed for high powered laser applications, and suitable for use with lower power lasers, these laser safety curtains offer the laser beam protection of metal and the flexibility normally associated with fabric laser barriers. No other laser curtain on the market has both the ease of use and the high power rating of Kentek’s EVER-GUARD^® laser barriers.
