CIE COLORIMETRY

Higher transmission means you see more of that color.

Pupillary Distance (PD) Measurements

PD is required for all prescription lenses and is measured in millimeters (mm). PD is the distance between your pupils, typically between 60 and 65 in adults. Monocular OD and Monocular OS are the distances between your right (OD) and left (OS) pupils and the bridge of your nose, typically between 30 and 33 in adults.

If your PD measurement is not on your prescription, you can take these measurements using our OCHO iPhone app.

Ocular Center (OC) or Seg Height Measurements

For progressive lenses, OC measurements are required. OC measurements must be obtained with the eyewear frame that you have selected. Our OCHO app for iPhone can be used to obtain the OC measurement.

If you already have a pair of Kentek eyewear in the same frame, an optician can obtain the measurement for you.

OCHO App for iPhone to obtain PD and OC Measurements

  1. Install the free app for your device. iOS 13.0 or above required for iPhone, iPad.
  2. Enter the store code: Kentek
  3. Select your frame.
  4. Click "Measurement", then "Continue" and follow the on-screen instructions. The app will capture an image with accurate measurements.
